4th of July Celebrations in St Johns, AZ: A Day of Patriotism and Community Spirit

We are spending time in North Eastern Arizona this July. We bought property up here in 2022. On our days off from working on the homestead we have been getting to know the local community and surrounding areas.

For the 4th of July we were able to attend the 4th of July Celebrations in St Johns, AZ.

The morning started at 4:30am. The alarm went off and Brian got up to make his coffee. Sleepy eyed I joined him and we got dressed, coffee done and up and running.

At 5AM the first canon fire went off. By canon fire number 3 every house with dogs woke up! By the 4th fire every chicken had to have shot out an egg! The rooster was not happy at a near by house.

We went home for a quick nap before heading back out for the town pancake breakfast. Pancakes, Sausage and a juice for $5. Not bad.

After the breakfast we went home to take care of Princess’s needs. Potty, meds and most importantly TREATS!

Back to the park for the Patriotic Ceremony and Awards for the running races. A little side note that was told at the awards part: One of the Mini-Triathlon participants was on his bike when he was hit by a car. He got up, put his bike back together, dusted off his road rash and still took 1st place!!! That is dedication!! We do not know the person but Yay and Kudos for being ok and taking the win!

Click on the YouTube video below to watch the Opening Ceremonies of canon fire, The Pledge of Allegiance, a few musical numbers by local artists, and a grand display of fireworks in a small Arizona community.

Please enjoy a few photos below of our beautiful day in St Johns, Arizona.
