My first day at DigiKey was quite exciting. The setting was a classroom in the new building, and I was among a group of around 20 people. Our learning experience was facilitated by three trainers, one being the main instructor and the other two stepping in as needed. The focus of our training revolved around getting all the necessary information into the computer system. This included learning the key strokes required for product picking, understanding where to locate items, and identifying where certain products needed to be placed for others to pick and package. It felt like going back in time, as we were essentially using an old DOS system. It was a unique experience delving into the intricacies of navigating through this antiquated yet functional system. Looking forward to more insightful sessions in the days to come.

The old building holds so much history and character. We have a tour scheduled there by the end of the week, and I must admit that I am feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness about finally getting out on the floor. Brian has been a wealth of information, sharing with me so many details about what we will be doing. These insights have been incredibly valuable as they help me visualize and prepare for what’s to come. At the moment, we are like little sponges, eagerly absorbing all the knowledge and expertise that we can, knowing that it will serve us well as we step into this new environment.

The winter season brings about a noticeable change in the weather, with the snow starting to accumulate and the temperatures dropping significantly. Despite the challenging conditions, the snow plow crews in TRF consistently demonstrate their expertise in keeping the roads clear for the residents. However, the efforts of the apartment staff to maintain accessibility can be hindered when people fail to cooperate by not moving their cars as requested. This lack of cooperation can make it more difficult for the crews to effectively clear the snow and ensure safe passage for everyone. Therefore, it’s important for all community members to do their part in assisting these essential efforts, especially during the snowy winter months.
