Brian is Off to North Dakota

Brian left just before the end of September to be up at beet harvest by September 26. He had 1 day of orientation and getting settled into his hotel room in Grand Forks, ND.

As Brian prepared himself for the beet harvest, he organized his belongings and mentally prepared for the days ahead. The anticipation of the new environment in Grand Forks, ND, filled his thoughts as he looked forward to the unique experience. With the support of Express Employment Professionals providing hotel or RV accommodations for the beet harvest workers, Brian felt reassured about his stay during this period of hard work. His brief orientation day helped him familiarize himself with the tasks at hand and allowed him to get settled into his hotel room, ready to take on the exciting challenges that lay ahead at the harvest.

Brian relished the beet harvest job. It was a breeze, and the paycheck at the end made it all worth it. The chilly nights were no match for his Proper cold weather gear. There was one night that the heater went out in the shack he was assigned to. The Supervisor brought him a box heater from his truck and that made it tolerable as the snow was coming down.

The harvest lasting about 14 days was a crucial period that varied depending on the location of the piling station. This time frame was subject to slight fluctuations, typically by a day or two. Once the harvest concluded, Brian proceeded to Thief River Falls, Minnesota, where he secured a position at the DigiKey Electronics warehouse, facilitated through Express Pros. The transition to this new opportunity marked a significant shift in his daily routine, presenting fresh challenges and experiences in a different environment. DigiKey is an electronics warehouse.

Brian encouraged me to leave Arizona and head up to Minnesota and join him because the pay was much better, and Express Pros even offered to pay for our housing. We had a choice of an RV Park, a Hotel or an Apartment. Which did we choose? Check it out in an upcoming blog post.
