We left St. John’s and headed down through Springerville and Eagar through the beautiful mountains of the Arizona – New Mexico border through the Apache national forest.

Our first night we stayed in Las Cruces, New Mexico and ordered take out from LA Posta de La Mesilla plaza. It was very good Mexican food after a long day of driving.
In the morning we decided To pick up a small stroller so that princess had easier access to getting around. with the heat. It was best she not me left in the track or had to walk too far.
Because we had taken this route several times following the 10 in to San antono. We did not stop for sightseeing things.
When we arrived at our hotel in San Antonio. It was a little bit sketchy but after being there for a couple of nights. The hotel was really not that bad and we enjoyed our stay.
We were able to meet up with our daughter and have an enjoyable couple of days and a really great meal at a local steakhouse and some good TexMex. Princess was able to spend some “sister” time with Beth eating one of her favorites… Strawberries. Beth had worked on this blanket for Brian and had it done for him by the time we arrived. She does beautiful work!! The visit was quick but memorable.

We took 1 day and drove up to Fredericksburg Texas along the way, stopping at Luckenbach, Texas and Lyndon B Johnson Historical park. Luckenbach and LBJ deserves their own post. So I will give a description of that in my next blog.
