The excitement builds…

Off to see the property for the first time

We left the Kingman area in mid-September to finally visit our property. It was an exciting and long-awaited trip for us. As we drove towards our destination, the anticipation grew with every passing mile. We couldn’t wait to see what our property looked like and to start envisioning our future plans. Desert landscapes were beautiful. The property is very close to the Petrified Forest National Park. Finally, when we arrived, we were in awe of the natural beauty surrounding our property. It was everything we had hoped for and more. This trip marked the beginning of a new chapter in our lives, and we couldn’t be more thrilled.

We booked a hotel at the Welcome Inn in St. John’s, Arizona for a few nights. It’s a great choice because we want to have the freedom to explore the area at our own pace. We’re excited to take leisurely strolls around the property and get a feel for the local surroundings. Staying at the Welcome Inn gave us the opportunity to relax and really get to know the area.

We visited the county offices and talked to different departments to gather information about the requirements for homesteading in the area. We wanted to ensure that the deed was properly transferred into our names. After taking care of the official tasks, we also made time to catch up with our friends in the area.

We had a blast attending the St. John’s Apache county fair. It may have been small, but it was packed with excitement and charm. Brian and I couldn’t help but be captivated by the mud bog races. The thrill of watching those powerful machines battle through the muddy terrain was exhilarating. It was a day filled with laughter, cheering, and a sense of community. We left with memories that we will cherish for a long time.
