Luckenbach, TX is a gem! Picture this: a bunch of cool old buildings, a new gift shop, and just a few Lone Star beers to keep things lively. But what really made it special? The people—friendliest bunch you’ll ever meet. And let’s talk about Princess—she strutted into the bar and got treated like pure royalty! Patrons and the bar tender herself kept gushing over her. It was a great ego boost for the 14 year old pup. The barn still hosts concerts from locals to the big names. It’s like stepping into a piece of history with a whole lot of heart.

Fredericksburg, TX was a warm! We strolled through this German settlement town, soaking in the heat. Now, the highlight? Definitely those chocolates with a boozy surprise inside—talk about a treat! My favorites are the tequila varieties. Brian enjoyed the bourbon filled chocolates. A visit to Fat Ass Winery for some wine and pick up a second wine glass was a must. But the real VIP? Princess, of course! She got the grand tour of the pet store and a special treat. This was my second visit to Fredricksburg and Brian’s first experience. It was a bit to warm for Princess so we couldn’t stay to long.
The Lyndon B Johnson Historical Park was beautiful! The grounds were just picturesque—serene and packed with history. We wished we could’ve stayed longer, but we squeezed in the drive-through tour before our dinner plans with Beth. Sometimes you’ve gotta balance history with time with family and great food, right? Next time, we will definitely set aside more time to spend visiting all of the markers along the way through the park!
We look forward to going back to Texas and spending more time with family and friends. Possibly next year. This year is still packed with many things going on.
