What else could possibly happen? The “green machine” didn’t want to be left out of the action…

September 6th… part 3

As we approached Dolan Springs, Arizona, just 30 miles away from our final destination, the excitement of being so close was suddenly interrupted by a mechanical issue. The tensioner for the belt in our F150 had seized up, causing us to lose both the tensioner and the belt. This unexpected setback left us stranded on the side of the road, with a challenging situation that needed to be resolved before we could continue our journey.

I reached out to my friend who lives in the area and asked her to go to the parts store to pick the parts up. I sent her some money with an online funds app. This made the process convenient and efficient. It saved me time and effort, as I didn’t have to go to the store myself with the camper on the back of the truck.

She quickly brought the necessary parts and delivered them to us just in time before the sun set, allowing Brian to replace them.

We have finally arrived at our destination and took a long deep breath. The journey was tiring, with a long drive on very little sleep. Brian and I were both exhausted. The fatigue seemed to seep into our bones as we navigated through the winding roads and endless stretches of highway. But now, as we stepped out of our trucks a sense of relief washed over us. We had made it. The weariness in our bodies was momentarily forgotten with a hot shower and a great bed. It was time to rest, recharge, and embrace the adventures that awaited us.

The next adventure will be in a few days. Off to see our daughter in San Antonio, TX
